The Challenge

A retail complex in Newcastle wanted to attract more environmentally-conscious customers by offering EV charging facilities. They needed a solution that would work efficiently with their existing electrical infrastructure while providing fast charging options for customers.

Our Solution

We installed six 22kW fast charging points in the retail complex car park, strategically positioned to maximize accessibility. The installation included a load management system to prevent overloading the site's electrical supply during peak periods. We also implemented a customer-friendly payment system with multiple payment options.

The Results

The EV charging points are now used by an average of 20 vehicles per day, generating additional footfall for the retail complex. Customer dwell time has increased by an average of 45 minutes, leading to increased spending in the retail units. The facility has become a key selling point for the complex and has enhanced its green credentials.
